Eric Bryden, apprentice historian extraordinaire, currently resides in Davis, California.

Born and raised in rural New York and weaned on a steady diet of comics and animation, Eric quickly developed an interest in graphic novels, the supernatural, and man's inhumanity to man (or the inhuman's inhumanity to man, as the case may be).

Eric is working on his PhD in history at the University of California, Davis--when he's not brainstorming new story ideas.

In addition to having helped originate the ideas behind The Malay Mysteries, Eric co-authored The Malay Mysteries book 2: The Ghost of Silver Cliff with Jai Sen.
